Time Flies! March 8, 2013

I can’t believe I’ve been back for a month!  We left Rock Sound and met with friends in Highbourne Cay.  Very nice marina with all amenities but home of the $7.00 Kalik!  Warderick Wells, on down to Staniel Cay where the movies Thunderball and Splash among others were filmed,  Black Point, Little Farmers, Lee Stocking, George Town, Salt Pond, Conception!  It has been wonderful.

Rather than try to tell you all what fun we have had – I’ll just post some photos.  Today we are heading back to George Town for some free water and to pick up some wine.  Hampshire Rose without wine????  Heaven Forbid!  We could have gotten the wine in Salt Pond but water is .30 a gallon there so off to G’Town we go.  The Cruiser Regatta is in full swing so we may catch the end of it.  We participated a few years ago and had a blast including being crew on the boat that won the ‘round the island race’!  It was great fun as I said but structured group events are not really our cup of tea any longer.

Cruiser cocktail parties are another staple of this “Crazy Cruisin’ Life”.  That is where a bunch of boaters will gather on the beach each bringing their own beverage of choice and an appetizer to share.  The items can vary as you may well imagine.  I’ll have to get some pics the next time we go to one.
